Loans hub
A job workflow for borrowing: normalize APR and fees, size a payment you can keep, then read total interest before you stretch the term to force a fit.
7 calculators · educational cost sketches, not credit offers or lending advice
Framing: ordered loans playbook (APR → payment → total interest → product stress), not an investing growth path and not a sky card catalog.
The job this hub solves
Loan shopping gets expensive when you rank offers by monthly payment alone. Fees hide in APR language, longer terms shrink the payment while raising total interest, and auto deals add trade-in and residual noise. This hub compares cost first, then payment fit, then lifetime interest.
Playbook
Four steps for borrowing only. Do not skip step 01 when two quotes look similar on payment alone.
- 01
Normalize the offer (APR and fees)
Put each quote into the same units. Use APR and rate tools so a “low payment” with junk fees does not beat a cleaner rate on paper.

Size a payment you can keep
Run principal, rate, and term through the loan or payment calculator. Check the payment against income and other debts before you stretch term length to force a fit.
Open loan calculator - 03
Read total interest on the schedule
Open amortization for the same deal. A longer term that “works” monthly can cost far more over the life of the loan. Extra principal scenarios show the tradeoff.

Stress the product-specific deal
Cars need the auto loan path (and often refinance later). EMI-style products use the EMI calculator. Re-run with a slightly worse rate so the approval quote is not your only scenario.
